A strong synagogue is vital to a healthy Jewish community.

It is important for its members to feel a personal connection to the synagogue, because the synagogue is so important in our community.  The synagogue should be a place where members feel comfortable praying, studying, socializing, and just being part of a community.

The Jewish Center of Teaneck Sisterhood, the heart of the congregation, offers the women of the Jewish Center - with their different interests, tastes, and age levels - another opportunity to make that connection.

Sisterhood is about… celebrating together. We practice our customs in the sanctuary and continue to interact together, in the holiday spirit in the ballroom or elsewhere in our grand facility, be it a Simchat Torah Luncheon or Shabbat Lunch and Learn.

Sisterhood is about… Nechama (comfort), supported by the Elisabeth Heilbronner Chesed Fund and organized by Sisterhood.  Nechama's aim is to extend solace to the bereaved, offer help when needed, make condolence calls, and deliver Shabbat meals to the shiva home.

Sisterhood is about… Mishloach Manot baskets for Purim; a great way to get to all your friends in one easy order form.

Sisterhood is about…The Judaica shop, a great place to find a gift for family, friends or oneself.
